Crémant
There are 8 Crémant-producing regions in France. The wines are produced in the same way as Champagne (‘traditional method’), where second fermentation occurs in the bottle. Wines are aged for a minimum of 12 months (our Crémants are aged for 18 months).
Each region produces a different style. The Emissary Crémants are produced in Burgundy, which is geographically closest to the Champagne region. The similar terroir means the wines are closest in style to Champagne. We use pinot noir and chardonnay grapes (same as Champagne) along with aligoté which is native to the Burgundy region.
